Lights for your sneakers: Got a night runner? These are perfect for trail runner at night. Just clip them on and you’re gone. Great for the Ragnar or other overnight races.
Grip Gloves: When they are not on the trails most dads are sitting at a desk or getting ready for meeting. Want to make sure they don’t have calluses when they go to shake hands? Or give you a back rub? These are a great way to save some skin
Trail Gaiters: If you’ve ever seen the after math of an OCR you know the mud gets every where! I mean every where! These little beauties help with the shoes at least. They block mud and dirt from getting in there and ending up on your rug.
GoRuck Bag with weight: Get for training in the off season or getting ready for the GoRuck Challenge. They can add in weight to up their training.
Hydration Pack: A must for any racer. When you up to the top of the mountain, there is no water station. Get one that have small pockets to make sure they can carry a few small bites to get them to the finish.
Archery Foam Target: If you have a serious Spartan Racer in your family you have heard about the spear throw and the burpees. Get them a target to practice with. Set it up in the backyard and help them avoid the burpees next race.
Climbing Trainer: This one is a great way to improve grip strength and train for thous wall climbs. Plus you don’t need to build anything. All you need is a door frame.
Wireless Headphones: Those long runs can get boring (or so I’ve heard) Make sure Dad can rock out on the trails. With no wires to get caught up in.
Ninja Coffee Bar: It’s coffee time all the time when you wake up early, train hard and sleep until the kids tell you otherwise. Treat Dad to a stylish coffee station. And you know, if you happen to like coffee too, it’s a win win.
Comprestion Shirt: Any racer will tell you how much a difference good gear will make. Get Dad a good compression shirt for the races that might be a bit chilly. Or involve water. Or wind. Or sweating……
