Honest Review: Suja Juice

Ever get the feeling you forgot to eat? So you grab something near you and scarf it down. You might not even know what you just consumed but now you’re not going to go full on Hangry Hulk mode. But then you feel hungry again in 10 minutes and repeat the cycle. You eat an empty filler. That’s what I call them. Those food out there that keep you happy and full for the moment but don’t help you reach your nutritional goals. Mostly they are made of sugar or simple carbs. Enter Suja Juices.

I first heard about Suja from my older sister. Everyone should have an older sister. They find all the cool stuff first. Or younger sisters. You get to show them all the cool stuff your older sister showed you.

Anyway. We were over for a playdate with our boys and she pulls out a large bottle of Suja Green Delight. Prefect name since it was delightful! At first I was hesitant since it was a green juice and I figured I would be tasting grass for the rest of the day. But it was more a smoothie texture. The apple, banana, mango, spinach, lemon, kale, spirulina, chlorella, barley grass & alfalfa grass (yes that’s all in there) blended perfectly. I was a bit concerned about the sugar content since little Bear wanted to try some. At 40gm for 12oz it seemed high. But as I reread the ingredients I saw there is no added sugar and all the sugar that was in there was from the fruit. So not a daily for the Bears but totally doable for me and my busy life!

I was digging grabbing Suja on my Yoga nights and at the grocery store for the ride home. And even picking up a huge bottle of Green Delight to have on hand for busy days. Or post afternoon pick me ups. Then I had to have my gallbladder taken out. I was the third of 4 in my family to have to have it done so I should have seen that coming. But I knew I was going to be down for a few days and my body might need some help with recovery. I was happy I knew about Suja. I went out and bought myself a few days worth of juices to have before surgery and a few for after. Now Suja will not cure you or heal your scars faster. But after surgery it can’t hurt to give your body a few extra nutrients. All I know is that I was happy to have them on hand.

The more I learned about Suja the more I really love the products. And with them being sold in Target, Wholefood and Wegmans, I can always grab one when I’m out and about! Plus you can also order Suja juices online and get them delivered to your door! Super easy to be super healthy!! They have a 3 day Fresh Start package which I feel is a great option if you want to get started with them. Prefect for summer days. And from now until 5/27 they are having a sale to celebrate their birthday! WOHOOO!!!

Birthday Sale Details:

  • Offer: $99 plus Free Shipping on any 3-Day Fresh Start (up to $100 in savings!)
  • Timing: Friday 5/20 – Friday 5/27
  • Promo code: BIRTHDAY

Why Suja? Why not just make this stuff at home? For one thing time. I love that I can just grab a glass and fill up on the good stuff without having to brake out any Kitchenaid gadgets or chop up a pound and a half of food. I just need to twist and enjoy. Second Suja uses Cold Pressure, also known as High Pressure Processing (HPP), instead of high heat, to extend shelf life & to help maintain essential vitamins, minerals & enzymes. I can’t do that. Nor do I want to figure out how to.

All in all adding these into your diet could help you fill in some nutritional holes. Plus remember the whole empty fillers thing? Suja uses real food to make their juices. So you are getting real food in your system which will help you when the Hangry Hulk rears it’s head at 3pm.Fresh-Start-Blogger-Banner-728x90.jpg
