Honest Review: Kabrita Goats Milk Toddler Formula and Pouches (#MomsMeet #KABRITA)

I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms Meet program (greenmomsmeet.com), May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agree to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of this product.

Recently I was given a container of Kabrita Goats Milk Formula to try. They also included a few of their oh so easy to pack pouches. I was thrilled to try this since we’re not a huge cows milk family and Little Bear is growing like a weed and seems to have figured out how to open the fridge.Kabrita

The first thing I always do is check out the ingredients. I’m thankful that my boys seem to only have a small intolerance to grains. But I like to be aware of these things when I’m talking to other moms. I know some families who avoid cows milk for allergy reasons. And decided to share this product with them to get a different view point.

The Good:

Kabrita is GMO free and free from antibiotics, growth hormones, preservatives, artificial colors and flavors. That’s a huge plus for me! Personally I feel conventional cows milk can be a scary item. I think most quality milk companies have seen that adding in growth hormones to their cows diets has had an effect on all the young kids drinking the milk. I wouldn’t let the Bears drink it. Again personal reasons.

22 vitamins and minerals including folic acid, DHA, ARA, and iron. I can see this being a total help for picky eaters! I think DHA is one of those things kids need more of. Huge for brain development.

Look at all that vitamin C!

The formula mixed up really nicely. No clumping and sticking in the bottle. Easy to clean up is always a plus in this house.

Little Bear loved it! And honestly that’s what it comes down to sometimes. My kid will eat it? I’ll buy it!

The Bad:

Not much to report on this end. One thing I was a bit concerned about was the amount of sugar. In 4 scoops was 11g. 4 scoops makes 4oz. Little Bear drinks up to 10oz in a seating. So we’re looking at a little over 25g of sugar in one cup. That makes this a sometimes food for us. To compare there’s about 11g of sugar in 8oz of Horizon DHA Whole Milk. But if your little one has a sensitivity to cows milk, this might be a great option for you!

The Pouches:

Those didn’t last long. Super convenient to pack up for a day out and the Bears inhaled them! I tried these too. You know, to make sure they were…. I was hungry. Good texture, great taste and they didn’t upset my stomach. These will be making a comeback in the snack bin for sure!
